Heavy Metal Kaleidoscope

Here’s a  kaleidoscopic image that I created a while ago but haven’t posted until now. It was made by reflecting a portion of a photograph of the drive mechanism of a steam locomotive 32 times. I love just letting my eyes drift over the details of this image. To see the other kaleidoscopic images in my gallery, click here. You can also download a set of free kaleidoscope templates for Photoshop. There are instructions for using them on the Downloads page or you can view Mark Johnson’s Photoshop Workbench Number 288 for a video tutorial.
