The Denver Botanic Gardens featured an orchid exhibit throughout the month of February. During that time, we made several visits and tried various approaches to capturing these intricate flowers. This image was made using the widest aperture available for the lens (f4). Using a wide aperture yielded a narrow depth of field leaving most of the flower in soft focus or completely out of focus. The result is a very sensual image.
