We spent a little over three weeks in Alaska in late July and August. Our trip started with a stay at the Silver Salmon Creek Lodge in Lake Clark National Park. It was an awesome beginning. David Coray and his team at the Silver Salmon provided excellent bear viewing and photographing opportunities, comfortable accommodations, and great food. We’re already plotting to go back.

We spent a lot of time photographing this sow and her two cubs. This image was taken at low tide one morning when she was clamming. This little male was making sure he got his share.

This is my third consecutive Halloween post. In our house, that makes it a tradition. We found this motorcycle with some amazing chrome work, especially on the tank, when we stopped for lunch at the True Grit Cafe in Ridgway, CO. A perfect Halloween post. I photographed it with both my iPhone and my Big Boy Camera. I liked this iPhone image best. Since it’s customary among my iPhone friends to list the apps used, here they are: Pro HDR, Snapseed, and Jazz.

Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve posted – as several of you have reminded me. It’s time to start sharing again.

This image is from near Ouray, CO. It’s our favorite fall color destination. This year, we were about a week early. This Aspen grove, well up the road to Red Mountain Pass, was one of the few that were showing peak color.
