The Fujifilm X-H2S uses the Fujifilm X mount with a 1.53× crop factor (about 23.6 × 15.7 mm sensor), 26.1 megapixels, announced in 2022. Below: equivalent focal lengths, maximum shutter speeds for sharp stars, a hyperfocal distance chart, compatible lenses and how to check the shutter count.

Multiply by the 1.53× crop factor for the full-frame equivalent field of view.
Milky Way exposure: NPF and 500 rule

| 28 mm | 6.3 s | 7.5 s | 4.2 s | 11.7 s |
| 35 mm | 5.0 s | 6.0 s | 3.3 s | 9.3 s |
NPF = (35 × f-number + 30 × pixel pitch) ÷ focal length, with a pixel pitch of 3.77 µm (from 26.1 MP). The strict version (Michaud's detailed NPF for the galactic core) gives pin-point stars at 100% view; the 500 rule is a loose rule of thumb that shows trailing on modern sensors.
Hyperfocal distance chart

| 14 mm | 3.6 m | 1.8 m | 1.3 m | 0.9 m | 0.6 m |
| 16 mm | 4.7 m | 2.3 m | 1.6 m | 1.2 m | 0.8 m |
| 18 mm | 5.9 m | 3.0 m | 2.1 m | 1.5 m | 1.1 m |
| 20 mm | 7.3 m | 3.7 m | 2.6 m | 1.9 m | 1.3 m |

| 28 mm | 14 m | 7.2 m | 5.0 m | 3.7 m | 2.5 m |
| 35 mm | 22 m | 11 m | 7.8 m | 5.7 m | 3.9 m |
| 50 mm | 46 m | 23 m | 16 m | 12 m | 8.0 m |
Focus at the hyperfocal distance and everything from half that distance to infinity is acceptably sharp (circle of confusion 0.0196 mm). Use the hyperfocal calculator for other settings.
Maximum print size
| Print resolution | Inches | Centimeters |
|---|---|---|
| 150 ppi | 41.7 × 27.8 in | 106 × 71 cm |
| 200 ppi | 31.3 × 20.9 in | 79 × 53 cm |
| 240 ppi | 26.1 × 17.4 in | 66 × 44 cm |
| 300 ppi | 20.9 × 13.9 in | 53 × 35 cm |
300 ppi suits close viewing; 150–200 ppi is plenty for large prints viewed from a distance.

How to check the Fujifilm X-H2S shutter count
Fujifilm records an image counter (ImageCount) in MakerNotes on many X-series bodies; it counts frames rather than mechanical actuations. Run `exiftool -ImageCount image.raf`.
ExifTool tag: ImageCount. Always test an original, unedited file straight from the card.
